We endow the parlêtre with the being-that-speaks signification. The speaking being, if you wish.The being-that-speaks so happens to be.

What are we talking about? The parlêtre is LI 49's subject. The subject that is the topic. When you talk of something being, you say of the actual something that it has entered the realm of the multiple. Not the one, being makes him an-other one, prone to disappear, like a leave in a tree. Being qua being, for the philosopher, being as such, is mathematical—pure mathematics. And it can be in excess.
